The new Netflix film “Bright” looks gritty and humorous, while it is breaking down Hollywood and circumventing the traditional movie theater release. According to Vulture’s article, “That would be Bright, which is rumored to be the most expensive film Netflix has ever commissioned.” Looking at the artists involved in creating the soundtrack, I know where a lot of the money went.
The artist group is similar to the Suicide Squad Soundtrack. This is not a surprise since the film has the same director and Will Smith performing in the spotlight. The bands released their involvement in unison on Twitter with the #Bright, and the title of their track.
But not all of the artists on board have Twitter/used it for the group hashtag. This is the confirmed track listing for the album:
The release date is not confirmed (I chased down each artist’s tweet hoping to find a leak), but the general consensus is December 22, the same day “Bright” comes to Netflix. Update: The album will be available December 13. “World Gone Mad” by Bastille will be released tomorrow 12 PM EST (November 9). It is amazing how diverse the album line up is. Then again, did we ever think there would be a cop sci-fi film about social injustices created by race, the races being elves, humans, and orcs? I didn’t see it coming, but I’m sure they are going to have a social issue agenda to drive the storyline (my fiance hates me, I tell her what the movie is going to be about and how it ends before we get through the commercials).
I’m excited about the movie and the soundtrack, until the release (waiting impatiently),
