Welcome to Numu! I know, it's a weird name but trust me, it has a cool origin story you can read about in our history.
NuMu's Purpose
The purpose of NuMu is actually for me. I have a ton of hobbies, interests and passions. All of these are interconnected by one of my core passions, which is writing. In the months leading up to the creation of this blog, I have been writing and filing away my different pieces into Google Docs. While this is okay, I realized it has resulted in a lot of unfinished pieces and articles that are not finalized simply because they do not serve an end purpose. Numu creates that purpose. This blog allows me to file and organize the content I write, reach people who share common interests, maybe get some side money from occasional ads and most of all to learn and grow as a writer.
I have not "arrived" nor do I think myself a great or even good writer. I am simply a lover of writing who studies it in a variety of forms. In all this, I seek to execute those different forms of writing all for the sake of learning and growing my skills.

About Me
So my name is Wesley A. Gehman. I have a personalized "about me" sections on the separate topic pages and how they relate to me so this can be a broad overview of me. I am first and foremost a Christian. Presently, I serve at my local church, work a day job, and run a Christian non-profit that helps churches and Christian non-profits with their online presence and internet marketing. I work at a local business called Strickler Insurance as an internet marketer and have a degree in communications. Naturally, it is in both journalism and marketing.
I live in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania with my amazing wife Alex. We have been married since August 2018 and we're enjoying every minute of it. No kids yet, that's why I can write on this blog. I met her in 2014 even though we had gone to the same school and church when we were in high school (big school and church I guess). She is definitely my partner in crime and probably thinks I am a bit ridiculous with my hobbies.
One of the things I tell Alex is, people who meet me when I'm in my 40's are going to ask if I am having a mid-life crisis as I climb a tree, dance in a mosh pit or jump off a cliff into a river. It is her job to let them know I have been and will always be a kid at heart. The teenage thrill-seeker did not die in me even when I was working 70 hours a week in construction and it did not die in college or when I got a desk job. It will always be present and I hope you get a kick out of it my content, but more than that, I want you to join me in living again.
About The Website
As mentioned I am an internet marketer and web designer, so naturally, I built this website. What you will notice is the core sight design is simple and plain, but when you dive into the different sections and topic pages you will see a variety of branding. Each topic I write about on the blog has the potential to become its own blog or website. Each section could also be its own site.
