About My Running
This is likely to be the area with the shortest and most succinct blog posts. I might document my running progress here and how I am working towards certain goals I set. Not that any of you should really care about that. I may also integrate some workouts or tips for new runners.
Most of my runs are on Schuylkill County trails and in the vicinity of Pine Grove Pennsylvania. I live in town and enjoy the outdoor trails and the local track. About 30 minutes away is my hometown and Blue Mountain Highschool. It was at Blue Mountain where I ran cross country and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of running. Like most things, I wasn't excellent, but I was definitely good.
I've mulled over a personal goal of beating my highschool PR for the 5k which was 17:02. I do not know if I will ever be able to beat that time again since I weigh 40 pounds more and do not have the same training structure. For now, my goal is to get under 20 minutes again (much more attainable).
My Future Running Goals
- Beat 20:00 for a 5k
- Place in my age range for the Coal Cracker 10k
- Run a half marathon
- Run a full marathon
- Beat my highschool PR-17:00
